La confrontation entre ces deux équipes parmi les plus titrées du continent, enlevée et haletante jusqu’au bout, n’a livré son verdict que dans les ultimes instants de la rencontre.
Les Angola étaient revenus à la hauteur des Lions (74-74) dans la dernière minute de la rencontre, alors que le Sénégal entrevoyait les demi-finales dans un dernier quart temps qui semblait maîtrisé.
