Durant trois jours, la prise en charge des patients dans les structures sanitaires se fera sans les médecins en spécialisation. En conférence de presse, ce samedi, ces blouses blanches, qui dénoncent l’arrestation de leur collègue, Dr Aminatou Françoise Adégniiké Bangbola Alabi suite à l’hospitalisation d’Ousmane Sonko à la clinique Suma Assistance, ont décidé de décréter un mot d’ordre de grève de 72h.«Nous dénonçons les conditions arbitraires pour lesquelles notre collègue a été arrêtée dans l’exercice de sa profession. Nous rappelons que notre collègue est mère d’un bébé de 15 mois. Elle est diplômée de l’Ucad comme médecin en spécialisation mais aussi inscrite à l’Ufr Santé de Thiès. Donc nous ne comprenons pas, pourquoi elle a été arrêtée dans l’exercice de son métier. Nous fustigeons cet acharnement contre notre camarade», déclare le président du Collectif des médecins en spécialisation (Comes), Dr Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba Faye. Qui, dans la foulée, demande à ce que toutes les charges qui pèsent sur leur camarade soient levées immédiatement pour qu’elle puisse retrouver sa famille et ses collègues de travail. Parce que dit-il, sa place ce n’est pas dans la prison mais plutôt auprès de ses patients. «Nous demandons aux autorités compétentes de se saisir de son dossier et qu’elle soit libérée immédiatement. Pis, cette somme dérisoire est souvent payée 4 voire 5 mois après», regrettent Dr Ahmadou Bamba Faye et ses collègues.
Une situation qu’ils déplorent vigoureusement dans un système de santé où on invite le personnel à être résilient. D’ailleurs, soulignent ces médecins, ce n’est pas pour rien que des jeunes médecins quittent chaque jour le pays pour aller travailler ailleurs. La raison c’est parce que qu’ils ne sont pas bien traités et respectés. «Il ne sert à rien de former des jeunes médecins pendant des années et les laisser ensuite tous partir monnayer leur talent ailleurs. On ne nous a pas mis dans des conditions acceptables pour que nous puissions exercer notre métier convenablement au service de la population. Nous estimons que cette question doit être réglée de manière définitive», martèle Dr Ahmadou Bamba Faye.
