Les causes exactes de l’accident sont pour l’instant inconnues. Toutefois, des témoins trouvés sur place révèlent que le chauffeur de la Toyota immatriculée 1547 TTA1 roulait à tombeau ouvert.
La voiture roulait à vive allure et d’un seul coup il a dérapé et fauché tous les vendeurs établis le long de la route qui se trouvaient à peu près à plus de 3 m de la route.
Pour l’heure, le chauffeur est en garde à vue au commissariat central de Kédougou et une enquête a été ouverte pour déterminer les circonstances de ce malheureux accident.
