C’est ce mercredi 22 mars 2023 que seront définitivement fixés sur leur sort les cinq responsables de la coordination départementale du parti Pastef-Les-Patriotes de Tivaouane, arrêtés dans la soirée du mercredi 15 mars et présentés le vendredi 17 mars 2023 au procureur de la République du tribunal de grande instance de Thiès.
Un déferrement après 48 heures de garde à vue au commissariat urbain de Tivaouane suivi d’un retour de parquet et weekend passé au commissariat du 1er arrondissement de Thiès. Ce lundi 20 mars, au sortir de leur face-à-face avec le juge, ils ont été finalement inculpés, placés sous de dépôt, pour être jugés en flagrant délit demain mercredi. Mme BA Bineta SAMB, professeur de français au lycée de Pambal, responsable départementale des femmes qui a laissé un bébé à la maison, Moustapha LO, chargé de la communication du PASTEF dans le département de Tivaouane, Idrissou DIEDHIOU et Habib SY, deux responsables PASTEF à Mboro, et Alioune Badara MBOUP, coordonnateur communal de PASTEF à Tivaouane, sont poursuivis pour « troubles à l’ordre public », « appel à l’insurrection » et « incitation à la rébellion ».
Ils sont accusés d’avoir prolongé la marche du mercredi 15 mars 2023, qui devait se terminer à 17 heures, jusqu’à une heure tardive de la nuit, occasionnant des échauffourées, et d’avoir brûlé des pneus brûlés en différents endroits de la sainte cité. Ils avaient décidé de ne pas quitter la rue tant que les forces de l’ordre n’auront pas libéré le domicile d’Ousmane SONKO.
