Elle n’est, en effet, que la conséquence logique de toutes les forfaitures du régime de Benno Bokk Yakaar, entre manipulations du processus électoral et instrumentalisation de la justice.
En torpillant toute possibilité de consensus, au sein de la classe politique, le président Sall et son équipe ont ouvert la voie à des perspectives de défiance ouverte, qui risquent de culminer, au soir du 24 février.
C’est ce qui explique que des millions de sénégalais, à commencer par les candidats de l’opposition, s’accordent avec le patron inamovible du PDS, sur le caractère tronqué de cette pseudo-élection aseptisée, de laquelle on a sciemment écarté des dizaines de cadres politiques populaires et représentatifs. La volonté du président sortant de se proclamer vainqueur dès le premier tour de la prochaine présidentielle ne fait également l’ombre d’aucun doute, aux yeux des sénégalais.

Des fraudes flagrantes ou même supposées, le jour du vote, risquent de transformer les mésententes au sein de la seule classe politique en lourd contentieux entre le pouvoir sortant et les citoyens sénégalais et pourraient ouvrir la voie, comme en 1988, à une période d’ingouvernabilité.

Leur rejet par le président de la République explique sa gouvernance calamiteuse, similaire à tous points de vue à celle de son père spirituel, avec cependant moins de flexibilité et de prise en compte de nos traditions démocratiques.
C’est pour cela, qu’il est possible de travailler dès maintenant à une plateforme politique commune aux acteurs politiques et à la société civile, transcendant les futiles agendas électoraux.
