La députée non inscrite Aminata TOURE plaide pour la cause de l’Afrique. Elle a invité les pays occidentaux à vider le contentieux de l’esclavage et de la colonisation lors de son allocution au Forum mondial de l’Alliance des Civilisations des Nations-Unies Unies de Fez, au Maroc.
«Je félicite les Nations Unies pour les efforts pour la promotion du dialogue et de l’alliance des Civilisations, mais pour nous Africains au sud du Sahara, le dialogue doit commencer par vider définitivement le contentieux de l’esclavage et de la colonisation qui ont encore des impacts sur l’Afrique et qui alimente le racisme que nous vivons» a-t-elle notamment déclaré hier, mardi 22 novembre.
«Il faut que les pays occidentaux reconnaissent leurs tort, demandent pardon et s’engagent à les réparer. Sinon c’est comme votre voisin qui vous doit beaucoup d’argent et fait semblant de ne pas s’en rappeler», a fait savoir l’ancienne Première ministre.
«Le débat sur les réparations dues à l’Afrique n’est pas un débat d’extrémistes» parce que, selon elle, «l’Afrique a été dépouillée de ses ressources, d’une partie importante de son capital humain.» «Lorsque les pays africains demandent une plus grande attribution des droits de tirages spéciaux du FMI (Fonds monétaire international-Ndlr), ils ont quand même un point de référence historique», dira en outre Aminata TOURE .
Poursuivant son discours, Mimi TOURE a prévenu que la jeunesse africaine n’est plus disposée à accepter l’injustice. «L’Afrique est un continent où 70% de la population a moins de 35 ans et cette jeunesse n’est plus prête à accepter les injustices dont le continent continue de souffrir. C’est pourquoi, il est important qu’un dialogue franc soit établi entre toutes les civilisations dans le sens de promouvoir la solidarité, la justice et le respect mutuel», a-t-elle plaidé.
