En match d’ouverture ce dimanche, le Cameroun, qui accueille la CAN 2021, a réussi son entame de compétition, à Yaoundé.
Le Cameroun accueillait le Burkina Faso en match d’ouverture de sa Coupe d’Afrique des Nations édition 2021. Après une cérémonie d’ouverture haut en couleur, les Lions de l’Atlas tentaient de réussir leur entrée dans la compétition. Le début de match était marqué par la grossière faute au bout de quelques secondes du Burkinabé Steeve Yago (1e) qui ne passait pas loin du rouge. Après des premières minutes hachées, le Burkina Faso ouvrait le score contre toute attente.
Malgré cette ouverture du score, la défense des Étalons affichait une certaine nervosité dont a profité Vincent Aboubakar. Après deux fautes très maladroites dans la surface de réparation, l’ancien attaquant de Lorient transformait les deux penalties obtenus et permettait donc au Cameroun de renverser le match. Ses deux premiers buts dans la compétition (40e, 45e). L’attaquant du club saoudien d’Al-Nassr concrétisait la domination des Lions dans le jeu.
Le Cameroun s’impose dans ce match ouverture (2-1) et débute donc de la meilleure des manières la compétition.
