Avec ce succès, les locaux du stade Léopold Sédar Senghor étaient très étroits pour contenir la joie de cette délégation forte de 41 Sénégalais (27 athlètes et 14 officiels).

Mais pour ce samedi à partir de 9 heures, on retournera dans les locaux du stade Léopold Sédar Senghor pour les besoins d’une conférence portant sur la santé physique des personnes à déficience intellectuelle».
De son côté, le Dhc, Souleymane Boun Daouda Diop exhorte Spécial Olympics à continuer dans la même dynamique. «Au sortir de cet exploit d’Abu Dhabi, Special Olympics Sénégal doit en faire un prolongement fructueux. Sur le plan national, il faudra poursuivre la massification avec d’autres programmes pour toucher le maximum de régions possibles. Diversifiez également les disciplines sportives pratiquées. Car, à ce jour, on est à 8 seulement. Sur l’international, l’appui du ministère des Sports sera là pour les futures échéances, notamment pour les Mondiaux de Berlin en 2023.
