A l’intérieur de sa boutique située à la rue 45 de la Médina, Ibrahima n’a pas vendu du sucre en poudre depuis trois (3) jours. « Le sucre est introuvable dans le marché. Les clients ne cessent de le demander, mais le problème est qu’on ne le trouve plus, même chez les grossistes », confie le jeune boutiquier. A la question : « qu’est-ce qui serait à l’origine de la pénurie ? », Ibrahima dit ignorer les raisons. A quelques encablures, à la rue 41 du même quartier, se situe la boutique de Ndongo. Le constat est le même, pas de sucre en poudre dans la boutique du vieux commerçant. Assis sur une chaise, derrière les grilles de sa boutique, le sexagénaire accuse l’Etat d’être à l’origine de la situation : « c’est de la faute de l’Etat, il a ordonné la baisse des prix à la hâte. Nous, détaillants, nous sommes obligés de se conformer à la décision de l’autorité. Par contre, les grossistes qui nous ravitaillent maintiennent les prix élevés. Le prix du sac de 50Kgs était fixé à 28000 francs CFA, cependant des grossistes continuent à vendre à plus de 30 000 francs CFA. Cela ne nous arrange pas », déclare-t-il.
