Les eaux créent des dégâts à Patte d’Oie et Grand Médine
Les fortes pluies qui se sont abattues dans la nuit du 18 au 19 juillet 2022 à Dakar ont occasionné beaucoup de dégâts. En effet, à cause de la forte pression des eaux, une partie du pont de l’Emergence a cédé, la voie qui mène vers Patte d’Oie et Grand Médine complètement coupée.
De fortes précipitations ont secoué dans la nuit du 18 au 19 juillet 2022 la capitale sénégalaise. En effet, les averses n’ont pas épargné certaines édifices et artères de Dakar. Par exemple sous le pont de l’Emergence, une bonne partie de l’autoroute qui mène vers Yoff a été emportée par les eaux. Créant ainsi une énorme fosse béante au beau milieu de la chaussée. Les automobilistes et autres chauffeurs particuliers qui avaient l’habitude d’emprunter cette route étaient obligés de faire le détour. De part et d’autre de la voie, une ceinture de sécurité a été très vite érigée par des gendarmes qui ont monté un check-point pour dévier la circulation.
A côté du trou qui laisse paraître de gros tuyaux, un chauffeur de Caterpillar manœuvre sous le regard des curieux qui se tiennent sur les barrières en haut du pont. Un peu plus loin sur le bassin de rétention d’eau de Patte d’Oie, la voie est complètement coupée. Sur place, les eaux de pluies mélangées à celles du canal occupent toute la route formant ainsi une sorte de mare où baignent toutes sortes d’objets, des poubelles, des barres de fer, des tuyaux, des grilles du chantier du projet Bus transit rapide (Brt). Au beau milieu de la route érigée par la société en charge des travaux pour la déviation des voitures, un bus de transport urbain est pris en otage par les eaux.
Un triste décor qui ne laisse pas indifférents certains habitants de Grand Médine et de Patte d’Oie qui cherchent désespérément des issues de sortie. «Depuis ce matin le quartier Grand Médine est pris en otage par les eaux. A Patte d’Oie également, les populations sont bloquées. Et malheureusement nous n’avons vu aucune autorité, pas le maire non plus. Les populations se débrouillent avec les moyens du bord pour évacuer les eaux stagnant dans les maisons», se désole Demba Niang qui tente d’ériger une barrière en briques devant son domicile.
