Cissé doit alors aligner la meilleure composition possible. Dans les buts, pas de doute, Edouard sera dans les cages. Il sera secondé sur la ligne défensive par Youssouf Sabaly (arrière droit), Kalidou Koulibaly sera peut-être avec Abdou Diallo qui cédera dans ce cas, sa place à Ismael Jakobs (arrière gauche). Au milieu, la paire Idrissa Gana Guèye et Nampalys feront office de titulaire.
