Si c’est le buzz qu’elle cherchait, elle l’a bien obtenu. Prendre l’image de la grande mosquée de Touba, en faire un gâteau d’anniversaire à consommer au grand théâtre. Il n’y avait vraiment pas mieux pour offenser la communauté mouride. Surtout quand on mesure l’importance que le fondateur du mouridisme et ses disciplines accordent à cette mosquée. Pourtant, c’est bien ce que Viviane (elle se dit mouride comme tous les autres) a osé faire. Et pour s’en défendre, elle utilise le système classique : minimiser la faute et se défausser sur les autres. C’est sur une autre diva (mouride elle aussi comme les autres) qu’elle rejette la responsabilité. Dans les colonnes du journal «L’Observateur», Viviane Ndour déclare : «Et je n’y ai rien vu de mal. Mais, depuis un certain temps, des gens s’agitent sur la toile et on ne sait pour quelle raison, nous accusent de vouloir ‘’blasphémer’’ (sic) la communauté mouride. Ce qui n’est nullement dans notre intention. Personne n’est plus mouride que Fatou Guéwel, pourquoi l’accuser d’avoir outragé la communauté à laquelle elle appartient ?» Parlant du gâteau-polémique, elle explique : «Le gâteau n’a pas été coupé et il n’y a nulle photo là-dessus. Les gens doivent arrêter de chercher le mal partout. Il faut qu’on laisse Fatou Guéwel tranquille. Elle n’a rien fait de mal. C’est malheureux que les gens interprètent de la sorte le cadeau qu’elle m’a offert. Car, sur le gâteau, il n’y a ni la photo de Serigne Touba Khadimou Rassoul, ni celle de mon homonyme, Mame Diarra Bousso, encore moins une quelconque image.» Des propos qui traduisent une volonté à peine cachée de mettre toute la responsabilité de cette polémique sur le dos de Fatou Guéwel. Or, depuis le déclenchement de la polémique, on ne parle que du «gâteau de Viviane». Et non celui de Fatou Guéwel. Il fallait donc cette sortie pour montrer que c’est Fatou Guéwel et pas Viviane. Qu’à cela ne tienne ! Le mal est fait. Et il sera difficile de le réparer. La preuve par les réactions que ce gâteau d’anniversaire a suscitées. Même le très discret Serigne Ahmadou Rafahi Mbacké ibn Serigne Fallou a été obligé d’aborder la question lors de son sermon du vendredi. Sans oublier qu’il ne s’agit pas de la première polémique soulevée par Viviane. Qui ne se souvient pas de l’épisode de la photo de Serigne Fallou Mbacké ?
La vérité, c’est Fatou Guéwel et/ou Viviane n’ont certainement pas mesuré le mal que leur gâteau allait causer. Leur problème, c’est qu’elles se disent mourides, mais ont du mal à comprendre les vraies valeurs du mouridisme. Toutefois, ce serait une perte de temps que de polémiquer encore autour de ce gâteau et de ces deux chanteuses. Oui, chanteuses elles sont. Mais artistes, elles ne sont pas. Parce que l’artiste, lui, doit être capable de comprendre sa société et ses valeurs. Mais aussi faire un spectacle et le réussir sans compter sur un hypothétique buzz.
Seulement, le gâteau de Viviane doit poser le débat sur l’utilisation des symboles religieux dans les spectacles des chanteurs sénégalais. Doit-on continuer à accepter les images de Serigne Touba, Seydi El hadji Malick Sy, Baye Niasse, Mame Limamou Laye… dans certains spectacles ? Certainement que non. La question est alors de savoir comment l’arrêter. En réalité, la difficulté c’est que beaucoup de marabouts sont tombés dans le piège des artistes qui les utilisent pour légitimer leur musique, leur danse… Combien de marabouts sont-ils à se glorifier d’avoir Youssou Ndour, Fatou Guéwel ou Waly Seck comme talibés. Ils les reçoivent avec honneurs et leur rendent visite au risque d’occuper les colonnes des journaux et sites people. Pis, le festival Salam, qui mobilise chaque année des chanteurs déclamant des xassaïdes de Serigne Touba, des écrits de Seydi El hadji Malick, Mame Baye Niasse…, est organisé et financé par le roi du mbalax, c’est-à-dire le champion des chanteurs et danseurs. Comment un marabout peut-il légitimer un tel festival et s’étonner qu’on brandisse l’image de Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba au Grand théâtre. C’est donc ce mélange des genres qui pousse certains à penser qu’on peut tout se permettre avec les symboles religieux. Résultat : plus rien ne semble nous gêner, rien ne nous choque plus. Mais faudrait-il attendre qu’un drame se produise pour dire qu’on avait vu venir ?
